Music Fridays!

We are so lucky to have Miss. Lizzy teach us music on Friday mornings! Miss. Lizzy is introducing us to a bunch of new songs, a variety of instruments and most recently, we have learned about Mrs. Treble and Mr. Bass.

Fire Safety!

In September, we had the opportunity to visit the Fire Station. We got to meet Firefighter Chuck and Firefighter Noah. We got to see all the different equipment that they use and we even got to go inside the fire trucks. We had a great time and learned so much!

Pumpkin Exploration

Science: we dug out a pumpkin to see what was inside.  We talked about the life cycle of a pumpkin and how we can use all the parts of a pumpkin to make delicious snacks.  We roasted the pumpkin seeds, made pumpkin soup, and tried a delicious pumpkin bread!

Yummy!

Learning Stations:  We have started to explore patterning and have worked with objects from the classroom, as well as, sounds and actions to make different patterns.  So far we have learned about the AB and ABC patterns.

Community Garden Field Trip

We were so lucky to have had the chance to visit our Community Garden this past Thursday.  We enjoyed our chance to press apples into juice, harvest vegetables, create wind chimes using natural objects, draw sunflowers, and explore the garden.  We even had time to snack, taste test the apples juice and play at Rotary Park.  We flew kites too!  A special thanks to Jeffrey's Mom and Dad for helping us out!  It was a fantastic day and the weather was great!

Terry Fox Assembly and Run

We enjoyed our assembly about Terry Fox because it gave us a chance to learn about Terry's past and why we continue to celebrate his life by running for him and raising money for cancer.  We tried our very best during the run and didn't stop moving for 15 minutes.  Great work everyone!
