Skating Day 1

Skating was a huge success!  We had a lot of falls and flounders but we also had  a lot of happy faces as we all learned how to keep our feet under us.  We were all very tired after our skating adventure!

Bats!

Thank you Patty from CBEEN for teaching us all about bats. It was really fascinating to learn about them and to explore the different materials and activities you brought in!

Music

Thank you Miss. Lizzy for bringing in a variety of musical instruments for us to try! We had a blast making music with them and exploring the different sounds they make.

Patterning AAB

We did some more patterning outside this week.  The Kindies are getting really good at patterning, very creative!

Take Me Outside Day!

We had such a blast participating in the outdoor stations ran by the Alternate Education students and the Outdoor Education students from Selkirk. We took part in the following activities: garden discovery station, leaf jumping, a scavenger hunt, storytelling, fort building, animal tag games and rock art.

Earth Rangers

We had a super fun visit with the Earth Rangers.  They taught us about all the cool animals living in Canada and how we can do a better job protecting them.

Patterning

We have been learning a lot about patterning and have practiced patterning both inside and outside the classroom.  The pictures below show how we can even pattern with objects found in nature.  We practice AB and ABC patterns!
